sandy toes...take one

take two....

take three...

We decided to take a mini vacation down to Longboat Key, where my (Lauren's) parents have an (AMAZING!) beach house they just finished renovating. Bri & Jacob (& baby Bear) came with-& Jax had his 1st beach experience...putting his little toes in the sand for the first time. He also had his first time in a pool as well, since they have a salt water pool at their house down there-which is way better than chlorine for babies. Bri was awesome to capture these memorable moments for us (we love you!)...here are some of the pics.

howling with daddy.

Jax has really started interacting more with us this week, and just becoming more aware of his surroundings in general. He LOVES morning time with us-after he's fed we bring him in bed for a bit, to laugh and play and now, talk, or 'howl' up a storm. Daddy started making a variety of sounds with Jax, and this howling has stuck-so its a normal morning routine now. so cute.

**2 MONTH UPDATE: Jaxon is now 15.3 lbs & 24.5 inches long!!!**

bumbo time!

we recently started putting Jax in his bumbo seat, since he's getting so good at holding his head up. also, its helped him discover his feet! (as you can see in the 2nd picture). not to mention the a-dorable hat we just bought him that he's sporting here.

monkey love.

Jaxon absolutely loves his monkey mobile, that we moved onto his pack-n-play crib until he's sleeping in his big crib...this is just a few of the smiles we get each time he lays under them to get changed.

Jaxon watching some T.V. with dad

Jax took a few minutes out of his busy day to watch some golf with dad. What an awesome little guy.

Visitors

Jaxon's first play date, with Sawyer Kirkland, and one of many visits from Grandpa. Lauren snapped this photo of my Dad & I being enamoured with Jax.

Crazy last few weeks

Its been a few weeks since we have updated the blog, sorry, its been a bit crazy. But, Jaxon is finally getting over his colicky stage and he is quickly growing up. No longer is he the fragile little baby that we once had, but instead a heavy chunky little boy. Our love for him has been growing exponentially along with his little body.

Jax and the Bath

Jaxon enjoyed his first actual bath 2 nights ago, and its now a part of his bedtime routine, along with cuddles & reading to
him-he loves it!

Wishfully hoping the blue eyes stay.

Blue Steel

Jaxon's infamous blue steel look is so hard to photograph its like catching a shot of bigfoot in the wild. This morning as I stumbled for the camera I got a quick unfocused shot of it. We have seriously had the camera ready and on the table for this shot for at least 2 weeks. Hopefully we will have a better shot soon. Also one shot we love.

Jaxon's first run

So we saw on a documentary that babies actually know how to walk or run when they're as young as Jax, it's just their body weight is too much for their legs. They did this in the video we watched, & the baby did the same left-right-left-right walking pattern when the weight was lessened. So we tried it & it was hilarious. Check out Jax running!

A Week in Review

It has been a few days since the last post, life has been a bit busy to say the least. Jax has been doing great just a bit fussy at night, I have loved the feeling of him falling asleep in my arms at night, I couldn't have imagined how great that would feel. But, here are a few pictures from the photo shoot with Jessica Bennett.
